About Wasabi Sheet Music
Our story began with a single sheet of music.
In high school, I was part of an orchestra and played in a string quartet with my classmates. We often held small home concerts and performed our favorite Studio Ghibli and movie music at school festivals.
At the time, it was difficult to find orchestral or movie sheet music in Japan. I still remember our music teacher going out of their way to import scores from the U.S., including film and musical pieces.
Back then, online shopping wasn’t common, and we didn’t even know where to start looking. It took a long time for the scores to arrive, but the joy of receiving them was unforgettable.
Listening to the music brought the scenes of those movies to mind, and it felt as if we had become a part of them. The time we spent playing together became a treasured memory.

Even today, I believe many people around the world face the same challenge: “I want to play my favorite songs, but I can't find the sheet music.”
That's why I started this small shop — to share the beauty of Japanese sheet music with music educators, performers, anime and game lovers around the world.
